When we documented our first beach elopement for Ashley and Colt, we loved how romantic beach weddings were. The sun, the water, and the wind made the experience unforgettable. Then we were hooked when we documented Dee Dee and Terry’s breathtaking wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, CA. When Vicki and Ken invited us to document their Punta Cana wedding at the Jellyfish Restaurant in the Dominican Republic, we were both honored and excited.

Vicki and Ken were married at the Jellyfish Restaurant for their destination Punta Cana wedding in the Dominican Republic. Surrounded by crystal clear water, soft sand, and warm breezy air, Vicki and Ken opted to have their wedding in Punta Cana ever since they fell in love with the city the previous year on vacation. Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Jellyfish Restaurant right out on the water front and they held their reception outside where everyone danced freely in the warm open air.

Their ceremony arbor was made of bamboo, draped with delicate silk fabric and fresh flowers. Additionally, the arbor featured a gorgeous crystal chandelier in the middle. The view of their ceremony was breathtaking and it screamed tropical beach island wedding. Their reception was expertly designed with white silk table runners, gold chargers and utensils, gold and glass geometric vases and candle holders, and baby blue eucalyptus and roses everywhere! Their color palette for their wedding was lilac, gold, white, navy, and blue green. The restaurant also had the most gorgeous bistro rope lights and a wall of natural seashells.

Vicki wore a flowy and dreamy gown from BHLDN. Her gown featured soft full tulle, a lace bodice, and a sheer illusion neckline and she personalized it with her special crystal sash for her waist. With her romantic beach waves, she finished her hair style with a headband filled with pearls and ceramic flowers. Finally, she completed her look with the ivory Badgley Mischka heels adorned with rhinestones. Her bridesmaids mismatched bridesmaids dresses in lilac, mauve, and pink. Their dresses were convertible so they could personalized their neckline and silhouette. To keep his attire light but also formal for the beach, Ken wore a navy tuxedo, bowtie, and suspenders.
