Katrina and Andrew’s gorgeous Portofino Hotel & Marina Los Angeles wedding day started with Katrina and her bridesmaids getting ready at the bridal suite while Andrew got dressed in another suite at the opposite side of the hotel. They had their first look at the iconic baby blue wall in the main lounge of the Portofino Hotel where it became one of my favorite backdrops for the wedding, with it being so modern, unique, but still romantic and elegant. There was no lack of photogenic backgrounds at the venue, and they all varied so much from each other – from the indoor blue wall, the pier, and a palm tree wall way.
Katrina wore a beautiful custom made gown with a sequined bodice and a tulle skirt, and she also finished her look with interwoven pearl necklace. Her bridesmaids wore lilac knee-length dresses that had adjustable panels that allowed each bridesmaid to change their neckline to perfectly fit their own unique style. Andrew wore a custom fitted tux by 9 Tailors, and he finished it with a very dapper bowtie and a very special boutonniere. His groomsmen wore black suits and lilac ties to match the bridesmaid dresses.
Their ceremony was held at the Seaside Lawn at the Portofino Hotel with the coast of Redondo Beach in the background and tall palm trees framing the ceremony site. After the ceremony, we all went down with this adventurous couple down to Redondo Beach for a few romantic photos just as the sun was setting in the horizon behind them.
Reception was held at the Pacific Ballroom and the gold chiavari chairs perfectly matched the golden details of the room. At their head table, they also tied a Mr. and Mrs. balloon to their chairs and it was the cutest finishing touch to their reception decor.
